Dresbach Family Farm
Dresbach Farms is an intergenerational family operation focused on regenerative farming practices to supply local, homegrown, non-GMO products that include crops of corn, soybeans, oats, sunflowers, heritage wheat, spelt, and open pollinated corn! Livestock plays a large role on their farm as well. Their cattle are rotationally grazed on pasture and cover crops and finished on their non-GMO grains. They also raise pastured broilers and hens that are fed their non-GMO grains in addition to their diverse diet from the pasture. They work hard to farm in a sustainable, holistic way that promotes nutrient rich products.

Regenerative Agriculture
Regenerative Agriculture refers to using farming practices that focus on improving soil health by moving carbon from our atmosphere into our soils, where it can be a net positive for our planet instead of a net negative as a greenhouse gas. Taking a holistic look at the land, regenerative farms apply various principles with the goal of making the land more productive and biodiverse over time. These principles include minimizing the disturbance of the soil and integrating cover crops and animals. This improves the organic matter (anything living or that once was living) in the soil which reduces soil erosion, and improves water retention, plant health, crop yields, biodiversity and more!

Stone Ground Spelt, the Ancient Grain
Spelt is an ancient grain, an 8,000-year-old relative of durum wheat that originated in present-day Iran. It was an important staple food in parts of Europe from the Bronze Age to medieval times. Spelt has never been hybridized, so has retained its wholesome nutrient profile. The gluten in spelt has a different molecular structure than that in modern wheat, making it easier to digest. It is also higher in fiber which aids in the digestion of the gluten. This may be why many with gluten sensitivities are able to enjoy foods made with spelt flour. You can substitute spelt flour for modern wheat flour in all your favorite recipes, including breads, cookies, cakes, muffins, pancakes and waffles.
Fresh stone ground wheat is higher in nutrition and flavor than conventional products. because stone milling retails all the parts of the spelt grain including the highly nutritious germ.
